Quick Prep Primer is an amazing tannin blocker of those Asian mahogany pieces which are notorious bleeders. One coat will generally block the tannin where 3-4 coats of BIN may be required. In some timbers (such as antique oak) you may find that the tannin may still leach through. In these cases simply apply Artisan Flat Matte Sealer to the tannin marks, dry off with a hair dryer as the faster it dries the less time there is for the water soluble tannins to leach through. Then repeat with another coat of Quick Prep.
Quick Prep is also great to increase adhesion on those shiny surfaces when using Mineral Paint, and to help with opacity when painting whites. I also like it under the more intense vinbrant colours such as bright pinks. You will find that Easy Prep seems to lock in the pigment and increases the vibrancy and opacity.

Australian Made

Quick Prep Primer is VOC free, nearly odourless and easy to apply. Dries to a self levelling matte finish. Applying Quick Prep Primer under Artisan Mineral Paint gives whites more opacity, and gives the brights and darks more vibrancy, reducing the number of coats required.

In 2 coats Quick Prep safely deals with tough stains such as permanent parkers, water stains, most tannins and odours.

After cleaning with WASH IT, apply Quick prep Primer by brush or roller. Allow to dry for 1 hour. Apply a second coat of Quick Prep and allow to dry for a further hour before painting with Artisan Paint

Apply to a clean dry surface. Glossy surfaces should be scuff sanded to remove gloss. Quick Prep Primer can be applied with a synthetic brush, short nap microfibre roller or spray. Quick Prep Primer evens out the porosity of repairs meaning that they become invisible under the paint. Some tannins such as raw antique oak may require a second coat of Quick Prep Primer or a sandwich coat of Flat Matte Sealer to lock in the tannin. Drying Times (at 25°C): Touch dry: 40 minutes. Recoat after 4 hours. Clean up using water.
